Haddam Garden Club - Bus Trip to Blithewold Mansion

Blithewold Mansion and Garden Tour 

                                                    Thursday, June 8, 2023 

The Haddam Garden Club is sponsoring a bus trip to Blithewold Mansion and Gardens in Bristol, Rhode Island on Thursday, June 8. 

The bus leaves at 9 am at the Haddam Community Center, 7 Candlewood Hill Rd. in Higganum, just opposite the Higganum Green. We’ll travel about two hours and have a docent led tour of both the mansion and gardens. It’s the height of the rose season and should be beautiful.  

We’ll have the tour first, then have a boxed lunch with a choice of four sandwiches. Lunch will be served around 1 pm and we’ll be free to wander the gardens (or gift shop) until heading back. We’ll head back at 3 pm and should arrive back in Higganum around 5:30 pm. 

Garden Club members and their spouses or friends are welcome. We have a limit of 35 people. You can google www.blithewold.org for more info. 

Price is $100. pp. Includes bus, admission, docents and lunch.  

Lunch choices: 

1. Smoked turkey w/spinach and lingonberry cream 

2. Bacon/guac grilled cheese 

3. Chicken pesto 

4. Veggie wrap with fresh veggies and roasted red peppers 

Lunch includes pasta salad, chips, cookie and choice of water or iced tea.
