April 1st 2020 CENSUS DAY

It is Census 2020 day. Please take the time to complete the census. It is important. For all you parents struggling with home schooling, it’s an opportunity to talk to your children about history. Article 1, section 2 of the U.S. Constitution requires a census every 10 years. Our founding fathers wanted to use the results to re-balance the House of Representatives ensuring each member represented the same number of people. Additionally, census results impact the amount of federal funds that Connecticut and Haddam receive. Census data is used for many purposes. It’s in our best interest that it’s accurate.
