Legal Notice - Annual Budget Town Meeting

Notice is hereby given to the legal voters and/or taxpayers of the Town of Haddam that the Annual Budget Town Meeting will be held at the Haddam Fire Station #1, 439 Saybrook Road, Higganum CT on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 7:00 pm for the following purpose:

  1. To vote on the Capital Improvement budget as detailed by each project totaling $10,861,350 (project authorization
  2. To approve the issuance of bonds totaling $7,007,250 to fund the projects noted as “bond funded” in the capital improvement budget as described in the detail resolution. (a copy can be found at the Town Clerk’s Office)
  1. In the Capital Nonrecurring Fund, to transfer $300,000 from the previously funded radio system replacement project to the Haddam Volunteer Fire Department Rescue truck replacement project
  1. To vote on the annual budget recommended by the Board of Finance for the Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2020 as detailed below:

The estimates above of the proposed fiscal year 2019-2020 budget represents a summary of the proposed budget. A complete detailed presentation is on file at the Town Office Building, 30 Field Park Drive, Haddam CT 06438. It can also be viewed at www.haddam.org

  1. To do any and all things legal and necessary to accomplish the above named purpose and take any other action that may legally and properly come before the meeting.
