The presentation will be recorded.

Instructions on how to access the meeting and on how to provide comments or ask questions can be found at the project webpage:
https://portal.ct.gov/DOTHaddam60-160

The live stream of the formal presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m.

The project is identified as State Project No. 0060-0160. This project is located in the Town of Haddam at the northern and southern intersections of Route 82 and Route 154 and includes the overlapping section of Route 82 and 154 between these two intersections. The northern intersection is located at Route 82 (Bridge Road) and Route 154 (Saybrook Road), and the southern intersection is located at Route 82 (Route 9 Connector) and Route 154 (Saybrook Road.)

The purpose of this project is to reduce congestion while improving vehicular, bicyclist, and pedestrian safety within the corridor. This project proposes to replace both existing T-type intersections with single-lane modern roundabouts. In addition, Bridge No. 00622, Saybrook Road over Clark Creek, will be replaced as part of this project.

Right-of-way impacts are anticipated with the proposed project improvements. Portions of the proposed intersections, associated sidewalks, and a retaining wall may fall outside of the current highway right-of-way. Additionally, temporary construction easements and rights to reconstruct driveways are also anticipated.

Construction is anticipated to begin in summer 2023 based on the availability of funding, acquisition of rights-of-way, and approval of permits. The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $7.3 million. This project is anticipated to be undertaken with eighty percent (80%) percent Federal funds and twenty percent (20%) percent State funds.
