Town Clerk
The Town Clerk Office is generally the first stop for a new resident. The following is a general list of what the Town Clerk's Office does: serve the public, record deeds, vital statistics, voting records, town meetings, dog licenses, hunting & fishing licenses, transfer station permits, commission records, survey maps, record and book maintenance, terms of elected officials, Town Charter and Ordinances, resignation and appointment of elected officials, help with genealogy work, certify petitions, prepare elections and referendum.
The Town Clerk's office is now able to process payments with a credit card (with a 3% non-refundable charge).
DOG LICENSE RENEWAL - June 1st
The Town Clerk’s office wants to remind you that June is Dog Licensing Month, starting on June 1st and before the 30th or a penalty will be imposed pursuant to Sec. 22-338 of the State of Connecticut General Statutes. You will be receiving a renewal notice reminder in the mail soon.
- Neutered/Spayed: $8
- Male/Female: $19
- Late Penalty: $1 per month
- Monday – Wednesday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
- Thursday: 8:30am – 6:00pm
- Friday: 8:30am – Noon
- You are no longer a resident here.
- Your dog is no longer in your possession.
- If you have a new dog (supply new data)
